Project BRA
Breast Cancer Risk Assessment
Co-Primary Investigator: Lauren Nye, MD
Co-Primary Investigator: Jennifer Klemp, PhD
Project Funding: Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
Project Goal
The first phase of Project BRA delivered a five-session didactic and case-based, tele-mentoring intervention with Project ECHO®. Learning sessions addressed provider knowledge gaps in breast cancer risk and risk assessment and how to deliver risk information in a culturally sensitive manner.
On-going work includes partnering with Early Detection Works and a Community Advisory Board to identify barriers to breast cancer screening and determine strategic solutions to decrease barriers in our catchment area.
